Crazed Fan at Miss Venezuela 2007 Pageant

Apparently, at the recently concluded Miss Venezuela Pageant, a crazed fan jumped up on stage post-coronation and snatched the crown off of the head of lovely Miss Venezuela World, 21-year old Hannelys Quintero, who competed as Miss Cojedes. He then put the crown on himself and proceeded to wave to the audience. Gasp! I know there are many crazed pageant fans out there, but clearly there are those that are certifiably insane.

Crowned as Miss World Venezuela, Hannelys Quintero will represent Venezuela at the Miss World 2008 contest.

Miss Amazonas Dayana Mendoza, a 21-year old professional model and student from Caracas won the title of Miss Venezuela 2007. She will represent Venezuela at the Miss Universe 2008 pageant to be held possibly in Vietnam.

Miss Venezuela International is 20-year old Dayana Colmenares, from Valencia. who will travel to China to compete at the Miss International 2008 pageant.

Miss Universe 2007, Miss Korea and Globalbeauties

The month-long love fest between Miss Korea Honey Lee and Globalbeauties continues right up to the final hours of the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico City. What’s not to love about Honey Lee. She’s one of the most adorable and beautiful candidates ever to have graced the runways of the Miss Universe pageant.

Honey Lee walked away with most of Globalbeauties’ special awards, and this is what they have to say:

Honey Lee of Korea has swapped most GB special awards in this year’s Miss Universe pageant and appears as the #1 favorite for the crown. Some pageant historians go as far as saying that she is one of the most perfect beauties to have ever stepped on a Miss Universe stage. Second place went to Miss Venezuela, another huge favorites who is close to perfection.

Miss Universe 2007, Miss Korea, Honey Lee

Miss Korea, Honey Lee, is all over the Universe at this very moment. Leading beauty pageant experts Globalbeauties declared her their winner this year, just a hair’s breadth ahead of traditional pageant powerhouse Miss Venezuela, the lovely Ly Jonaitis.

Honey was also Globalbeauties best in evening gown and best in interview. Miss Korea is also on the pole position of Globalbeauties’ starting grid. She was also their Face of the Universe. And their’s more. Honey won GB’s national costume award, too!

This is a phenomenal feat given how Far Eastern beauties have not really caught the attention of the pageant world until last year, when Miss Japan Kurara Chibana took home the 1st runner-up prize at the 2006 Miss Universe pageant.

Her Miss Universe interview is awesome. And she’s adorable in this video and stunning in this one. She also spent some time at the Korean embassy in Mexico City and looked simply breathtaking in her traditional gown. And her Miss Universe interview was just so sweet! She is indeed sweet as honey!

Miss Universe Top 15 and Globalbeauties

For their 2007 coverage of the Miss Universe pageant, pageant pundits globalbeauties constructed what they call a starting grid. This was in reference to a formula 1 race, with the top delegate in “pole position”. The starting line-up changed every couple of days depending on new pictures of the delegate that came out, as well as through correspondents that were supposedly on site in Mexico City.

Interestingly for us, over the course of the month of competition no less than SIX , yes 6, different girls shared that coveted pole position spot. They were Miss Greece, Miss Venezuela, Miss Tanzania, Miss Japan, Miss Korea, and Miss Spain.

But today, the final day of competition, sees Miss Korea Honey Lee claim the final pole position. Many, many fans and pundits alike are rooting for Honey Lee and we wish her the best of luck tonight!

Miss Universe 2007, Top 15, Miss Guatemala

Miss Guatemala Alida Boer is one of her country’s most competitive delegates to any international pageant. She’s gorgeous, articulate, and a truly wonderful representative. Her rankings on Globalbeauties put her solidly in the top 15.

Her evening gown presentation was flawless, and her swimsuit presentation was to die for!

I’m rooting for Alida to go all the way at the finals.

Miss Universe 2007, Top 15, Miss Greece

Miss Greece, Doukissa Nomikou, is a Hellenistic beauty of some reknown. Globalbeauties is quite taken by her, and it’s not difficult to see why.

Her swimsuit presentation and her evening gown presentation were quite something. I think she’s a strong contender for top 15.

Miss Universe 2007, Top 15, Miss South Africa

Miss South Africa, Megan Coleman, follows in the long line of very impressive pageant delegates from South Africa. In both Miss Universe and Miss World pageants, miss South Africa’s never fail to make an impact. Megan is no different: she is sincere, beautiful, and very articulate. She figures highly on Globalbeauties’ rankings.

Megan is a sunny, stunning, blonde and her swimsuit and evening gown presentations were top notch.

Miss Universe 2007, Miss Top 15, Miss Serbia

Miss Serbia, Teodora Marcic, is a classic example of Eastern European blonde in the mould of a Karolina Kurkova or a Hana Soukoupova. And that name is royalty enough. Teodora, after the Slavic empresses of centuries gone by.

Teodora is simply stunning and Globalbeauties has her ranked highly.

Her evening gown and swimsuit presentations were elegant and very spot on for a place in the semifinals. We love Teodora and hope her stars shine bright tomorrow at the finals.

Miss Angola, Micaela Reis, is another African glamazon like Miss Tanzania. Angola has been having a rather successful run at beauty pageants internationally, having placed at Miss Universe in the last 5 years. Globalbeauties have her in their top 15 ranking.
